The Canal Contemplations
9.
An Angel is heard by the social worker providing a momentary distraction:
In the beginning you will choose to leave
the perfectly imagined world behind.
It is not the way they said it would be,
where love can only be taught by fear.
The trees have greater arms than men
and the dawn is rosey edged just here,
a bench seat holy beside the moss tree.
Our statues are leaning into a fountain
from which flows all the life source.
May you be whispered into a miracle.
where your prayers are shed for faith,
the centre of your heart now unburdened. |
