When Andrea and I left Darwin Emergency we walked outside to wait for a taxi. All the carpark lights were on. Then I saw a flicker. I thought, here we go again. The carpark light flickered on and off three more times. Then Andrea saw it and then it went out. Then another light began to flicker and then another light. It In addition to this I often felt that a higher consciousness was telling me, you must move out of that house now. At the time I had felt that there were two opposing forces. This may have been the multiplicity at work, that being, the different 'selves' or 'centres of awareness' in 'discussion' with each other within the psyche, while switchreminded me of The Andy Bar lights. Around six different car park lights started going on and off, at about a distance of two hundred feet away. Since it had been happening in a lot of places, I went back inside and asked the staff if the lights were faulty in the carpark. They didn't know. Then one of them took a closer look and said, "Perhaps you're causing it."
The build-up had arrived. Darwin was said to have the highest incidence of lightning strike in the world within an 80km radius around the actual city itself. At this time of year the air heated up and the clouds began to build up in the sky, as the monsoons made their way down from the Timor Sea near the Equator. During the thunder and lightning storms, I noticed that the power cuts and surges were easy to distinguish from the more unusual things that were going on, because they didn't have anything to do with how I was feeling or what I was thinking.
One day, with a storm building up in the distance, I went outside and walked around the yard. I came back inside and fell into a trance state with one of the 'beings' sharing the body. I went into the main bedroom. When I moved towards the wall light putting my hands up towards it, it gently flickered. I then went to the second bedroom, and the same thing occurred there. I then went to the study and the same thing happened again. They were all wall lights with standard bulbs. I was only able to have this occur by entering into a trance state or self-induced hypnosis. Once I came out of it, the lights stopped flickering. Again I wondered if there wasn't some electrical charge coming from me. Did I bring it in from outside? Was I somehow affecting the flow of electricity from the wiring into the bulb?
Several days before the dogs and I moved out of Ridgehaven Circuit, Maria and I saw what we believed to be some kind of apparition. I had been upset that morning in regard to leaving and to monies owing. Maria had rushed over from work in order to pay me, since I barely had enough cash to move out. It was one of the few times she'd seen me cry, in our many years of knowing each other. Then we were sitting in the loungeroom, across the room from each other, drinking juice and talking. I was telling her about my father's death, when I suddenly noticed that Maria appeared to have a bright aura around her body.
It began to move around her and grew bigger. Then it was like a funnel opened up at the crown of her head and whatever it was began to rise up from that point. I was about to say something, when Maria looked at me and said, "You have a very bright aura at the moment. It's fluorescent green." Her aura looked like a moving light. I then watched it form into a head, shoulders and torso beside her. It seemed to be in the form of a male, who was shrouded in a hood or a cloak of some kind. The shape hovered on her right shoulder, slightly out from her body. Then it moved to the other side and kind of hung there, before moving back into her form and disappearing. All the while Maria was saying to me, "Oh my God, Coral! There is a figure coming out of your body. It's standing next to you! Look at it!" We just remained as we were, describing to each other exactly what we were seeing, for what appeared to be several minutes.
Apparently, Maria had seen a lot more than I had. She said that she saw a female apparition come out of my body and lift off, followed by three more male figures doing the same, but on the other side of me. She said that she could see the facial features of the female form and that it looked like me. She then added that 'they' were full body length. Of course I hadn't seen any of that, since I had been focused on the figure around her. Oddly enough, we had both remained calm and merely observed and described what we saw to each other. There was little time to think about what was happening. It was only later in the day that I thought, no way. I can't believe that just happened! I rang Maria at work to get the exact descriptions from her. I knew it hadn't been a trick of vision, because while I held my eyes still, the aura around Maria had still been moving of its own accord. After the incident I had felt very peaceful. Maria said, "Darling, I think some of your personalities may be leaving your body."
Whatever it was that Maria and I had experienced that morning seemed to be a cross between a hallucination and what we understood to be everyday reality. While we insisted that we had both seen those forms, I believe that we had lost touch with our surroundings, as if time had been temporarily suspended. It was as if we had entered a dream state or perhaps another state of consciousness, but we had been doing it simultaneously. |
